What is a vCard? and How to Use One with QR Codes

A vCard is a digital contact card — a standardized file format that stores your name, phone number, email address, and other contact details. When shared, a vCard allows someone to instantly save your information to their phone or address book with a single tap or click.

Why Use a vCard?

In both personal and professional settings, speed and convenience matter. Instead of asking someone to manually enter your details, a vCard provides:

  • One-click saving of your contact information
  • Compatibility with iOS, Android, and desktop platforms
  • Support for additional details like websites, job titles, and physical addresses

How QRown Uses vCards

Every QRown profile includes an optional vCard download feature. When enabled, anyone who scans your profile QR code or visits your profile page can download your contact information as a `.vcf` file.

This makes QRown ideal for networking, business events, or any scenario where you want someone to quickly and accurately save your contact information without relying on paper cards or manual entry.

Enabling the vCard Feature in QRown

To enable vCard downloads on your profile:

  • Navigate to your profile settings
  • Ensure your profile includes at least a name and email or phone number
  • Save your changes — a download button will appear on your public profile

Tip: Use with QR Codes for Instant Contact Transfer

Combine your QRown profile with a customized QR code. When someone scans it, they’ll be taken to your profile where they can view your info or download your vCard directly to their device.
